Meet the DB Ambassadors: Dana Moskowitz
We are proud to introduce our 2019 Ambassadors! We have 20 amazing equestrians on board this year to share and promote DB. Meet Dana...
Hello everyone! My name is Dana. I’m a pre-dental student by day, and the creator and CEO of EqStyleTheory by night. When I’m not at the barn, it’s all I think about! Every possible research project or activity turns into a horse-medical fusion project. Whenever possible, I escape to the barn for real to see my best friend and four legged companion, Maple.
Introduce us to your horses...
Maple, also known as “I Cannot Find It”, is a four year old off the track Thoroughbred with some spunk and sass to match! She definitely has drive and passion, especially when you feed her carrots (or fingers that look like carrots, oops!). We are currently making our show debut in the jumpers ring, and hope to move into hunters soon. When I’m not at my local barn, I work at a Saddlery on the week days, and during the summers I teach younger girls horsemanship and riding skills. Teaching has so many benefits. My favorite part is watching the smile grow on their faces as they complete their first 20 meter circle of canter!
What are your 2019 riding goals?
My personal 2019 riding goals include working on Maple’s temperament, and avoiding her ‘spook sessions’. Recently, we competed at a local show to give her some exposure to competing. The show was Fall/Halloween themed. Maple definitely was spooky when the pumpkins and flower pots started rolling off the jumps when it was super windy! Nonetheless, for her first show I was happy with our placement. I am so happy to be able to accomplish and share my goals while representing an amazing company.
What does being a DB ambassador mean to you?
Becoming a Dapplebay Ambassador allows me to stay confident and true to myself with their fun t-shirt designs. Casual yet classy, my style exactly!
