Halloween...but make it Equestrian

Fall is here...and Halloween is just around the corner! Here are three adorable patterns for you so that you can #equestrian your Halloween decor! We have 3 classic designs - pick your fave discipline and decorating style of choice & you're off!

STEP 1:

Print out your pattern. You can size it (change the scaling) according to your pumpkin. I printed mine at 60% for the small pumpkins and 100% for the big one that I carved.

STEP 2:

Get out your pumpkin carving kit (I got mine from the grocery store). Remove the pumpkin guts! OR - just clean your pumpkin if you plan to draw the pattern vs carve it.

STEP 3:

Cut around the pattern and tape it onto your pumpkin.

STEP 4:

If you are carving the pumpkin, mark your pattern edge using a push pin or the "pokey radial tool". If drawing it, use a ball point pen to mark the edge. Press HARD - you want to create an indent in the pumpkin. Then pull off the pattern.

STEP 5:

Now, take your smallest carving saw and start cutting out the marked areas (cut right on the dots). OR - use a sharpie to color right up to your marked edge.
